NRCS TO HOLD TECHNICAL SERVICE PROVIDER LISTENING SESSION
June 29, 2005 (Boise, ID)—The Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
will hold a listening session for current and future Technical Service Providers
(TSPs) on July 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Boise State Office.
NRCS contracts with
TSPs around the state to assist with engineering and other conservation workload
items.
The listening session
will include information on how the TSP Program works and where TSPs can find
technical conservation information. The session also will provide time for
current TSPs to ask questions and suggest ways for improving the program.
"I'm looking forward
to meeting our Technical Service Providers face-to-face," says Bob Bartholomew,
assistant state conservationist for programs. "I know they have questions
on how the program works and we need to get those answered. The large
workload for the 2002 Farm Bill has generated has overwhelmed our staff and we
need qualified and reliable TSPs to help us get conservation on the ground."
The Boise State Office
is located in the Black Eagle Business Center at 9173 W. Barnes Drive. For
more information, contact Bob Bartholomew at 208-378-5703.
USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
