FAMILY FOREST LANDOWNER & MANAGER CONFERENCE March 27-28, 2006

"Weathering the Changes on the Family Forest" is the theme of a two day conference for private forest landowners and managers scheduled for March 27-28, 2006 in Moscow, Idaho.  It will be held at the Best Western-University Inn.  The sixteenth such conference since 1991, it is sponsored by the Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. and affiliate groups.  The 2006 Idaho Forest Owners Association and Idaho Tree Farm Program Annual Meetings are being held in conjunction with the conference.

The conference will be comprised of four main sessions: Policy Issues and Topics, Technical Topics, Family Forest Landowner Management, and Forest Fuels Opportunities.  About twenty separate agenda topics relating to the aforementioned sessions will be presented and should be of great interest to family forest landowners and managers and anyone else who attends.  As in the past, landowner panel presentations will be held to discuss real, on-the-ground experiences in managing non-industrial private forest land.

For more information about the conference, contact the Clearwater RC&D Office at (208) 882-4960, Ext. 4 or Harry Lee, University of Idaho, Department of Forest Products at (208) 885-6900.  Registration cost is $40 per person.  To register, contact the Clearwater RC&D Office at (208) 882-4960 Ext. 4.  E-mail: clwtr@moscow.com , or register online at www.clearwaterrcd.org
