Idaho Bulletin 360-6-4

February 24, 2006

SUBJECT:  PER - TENTATIVELY FY 2006 Training Schedule for Idaho (NEDC and statewide training)

TO:  All Employees, NRCS, Idaho

Purpose.  To distribute the tentative FY 2660 training schedule

Expiration Date.  September 30, 2006

Attached are the tentative FY 2006 training schedules for NEDC courses and statewide training.

NEDC training

The NEDC training schedule is structured by date, course and employee(s). Employees on this list have been tentatively approved by the state conservationist and the training committee to attend, pending final budget approval. Under the attendance column, enrolled means the employee is officially enrolled in the course by NEDC and should receive training material 4-6 weeks prior to the course. Session waitlist means the employee is currently on a waitlist along with other employees, and NEDC has not officially conducted the enrollment process. Plan on attending your course unless you hear otherwise.

Employees should mark the dates on their calendars and inform supervisors of the training. Please keep in mind training can be canceled at any time due to budget reasons, due to low enrollment in a course or late cancellations. Please inform Sue Ellis through your supervisor as soon as possible if you cannot attend the training. States are assessed a cancellation fee if notification is less than 30 days of scheduled course.

Idaho Statewide training

The tentative Idaho statewide training schedule includes courses developed by Idaho NRCS staff and conducted for the most part, within Idaho.  The statewide training is listed by course and proposed date. The “lead” individual is responsible for coordinating the training, identifying attendees, informing employees of meeting dates, logistics, etc.

The FY 2006 training plan was developed with input from employee Individual Development Plans by the training committee.  It will be completed as the budget becomes finalized.
