Employees, NRCS, Idaho Expiration Date. September 30, 2007 Idaho NRCS encourages participation in professional training opportunities for technology transfer and development as well as networking. This workshop offers an excellent opportunity for Idaho employees to get the most current information on improved forages and the proper management of irrigated pastures and hayland. The Idaho Chapter SWCS and the University of Idaho Cooperative Extension Service are co- hosting a workshop in Twin Falls entitled Improved Forage Lands of Idaho – Environmental, Ecological and Economic Importance. Specialists from the University of Idaho, UI Cooperative Extension, USDA-NRCS and Utah State Cooperative Extension will provide the latest information on forage crop/pasture establishment and management, including fertilizer and irrigation water management, grazing and harvest management, management of soil problems and animal nutrition and husbandry. Idaho NRCS employees may attend on government time, but no per diem or other expenses are allowed. Government vehicles may be used, and car-pooling is encouraged. Employees must have prior approval from their supervisor to attend. The meeting is open to everyone.
