SUBJECT:  LTP - Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP)

TO:   All Employees, NRCS, Idaho

Purpose. To establish a second ranking period for WHIP applications in FY 2008

Expiration Date.  September 30, 2008

Background:  2008 Second Ranking Period

Idaho has received an additional allocation of 2008 WHIP financial assistance funds but has no applications for projects.  The previous application period for FY 2008 ended on November 23, 2007.

Actions:

Idaho will accept applications for the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program for consideration of funding in 2008 until close of business on June 20, 2008.  All applications must be entered in ProTracts by close of business on June 20, 2008 to be considered.  Applications must be ranked using the ranking sheet in ProTracts by close of business on June 27, 2008.  All applications will have cost estimates entered into Protracts by close of business on June 27, 2008 to facilitate allocation of funds.  Applications will be selected for funding by the WHIP Program Manager by close of business on June 30th.  Applications must be obligated and moved to the contract side in ProTracts by close of business July 31, 2008.
