SUBJECT:  EOP - Maintenance of NRCS General Manual Title 230 - Equal Opportunity and 230 - Correspondence Files

TO:   All Employees, NRCS, Idaho

Purpose.  To provide direction on maintaining General Manual, Title 230 and 230 correspondence files

Expiration Date.  September 30, 2008

NRCS directives including bulletins, General Manuals, Circulars, and Instructions are now posted electronically on the eDirectives site for access by all employees.  This includes General Manual Title 230 – Equal Opportunity located at http://directives.sc.egov.usda.gov/ . 

As a result of the National Civil Rights Compliance Review conducted in Idaho June 4 – 8, 2007, offices are no longer required to keep a hard copy of General Manual Title 230.  However, should you choose to keep a hard copy, you are required to maintain it with current information. 

In addition, information contained in the office central files under the subject code 230 – Equal Opportunity should be periodically reviewed to ensure that information in the files is current and relevant to the subject matter.
