Non-Discrimination Provisions of USDA Policy
Overview
The
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all its
employment, federally assisted and conducted programs and activities on the
basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability and where applicable,
sex, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual
orientation, genetic information, political beliefs (excluding conducted
programs), reprisal, or because all or part of an individual's income is derived
from any public assistance program.
No person shall be intimidated, threatened, coerced, or discriminated against
because that person made a complaint, testified, assisted, or participated in
any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing involving any employment,
conducted, or program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Prohibits discrimination in employment based on race, color, or national
origin in conducted programs and activities, or recipients of Federal
financial assistance.

Prohibits discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion,
national origin, or sex.

Title IX of the Education
Amendment of 1972
Prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs, employment, and
programs receiving Federal financial assistance.

Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, 29 U.S.C. 794
Prohibits discrimination based on physical and mental disability in
employment, conducted programs and activities, and programs receiving
Federal financial assistance.

Age Discrimination Act of 1975
Prohibits discrimination based on age, employment, and
recipients of Federal financial assistance.

American with Disability Act of
1990
Title II prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability by Public
entities. (Assisted and Employment Programs).

Equal Credit Opportunity Act of
1974
Title VII of the Consumer Protection Act of 1974, as

Equal Pay Act of 1963
Requires equal compensation for men and women for work which
relies upon equal skill, effort and responsibility and which is performed
under similar working conditions.

Nondiscrimination on the basis of Race, Sex, Color, National
Origin, Disability, Religion, Age, Sexual Orientation and Status as a Parent
in Federally Conducted Education and Training Programs.
